Ziyarat and Group Religious Travel by Road

Religious group travel is planned around timings rather than distance, and that changes the whole shape of the booking. Prayer stops go into the schedule at the start, so nobody is negotiating with a driver at the roadside.

The driver stays with the group for the duration rather than dropping and returning. That is standard for us on multi-day work and it is what these trips need.

Groups are usually fixed and known in advance, which makes the vehicle choice simple — a Hiace for thirteen, a Coaster for twenty-two, or a combination above that.

Multan is itself a major ziyarat destination — the shrines of Bahauddin Zakariya and Shah Rukn-e-Alam — and groups come from across Punjab and Sindh for them.

Sehwan Sharif in Sindh, Pakpattan for Baba Farid, and Data Darbar in Lahore are the other most-booked destinations, often combined into a single multi-day circuit.

For groups travelling to Taftan for onward journeys, Quetta is the staging point and the roads beyond need discussion before booking.

The driver's meals and accommodation for the whole trip are inside the fare. There is no daily allowance to settle and nothing to negotiate at each stop.

Fuel and tolls are included as on all intercity work.

Give us the full itinerary at booking, including intended prayer times and overnight stops. A driver who knows the plan is a different experience from one working it out en route.

Book early around Urs dates. The major shrines draw very large numbers on specific days and vehicles are scarce for a week either side.

For elderly passengers, say so. It affects the vehicle we recommend and how the driver plans the stops.

Quote the vehicle, not the head. A Coaster carrying twenty-two costs the same whether nineteen or twenty-two people travel, so the per-person figure improves the fuller it is — which is the opposite of how bus tickets work.

For a multi-day circuit we quote the whole trip as one figure covering fuel, tolls, and the driver's meals and accommodation throughout. There is no per-day settlement and no allowance to hand over at each stop.

Collect the money before you travel rather than on the road. Group organisers who leave collection to the last day almost always end up covering a shortfall themselves, and it is the single most common complaint we hear from them.
